Canadian wildfire smoke will stay thick across the region today. It will lead to a very filtered, subdued sky today. Without that smoke, we’d be talking pure sunshine! An air quality alert covering the entire state of Minnesota continues on Thursday, marring otherwise fairly ideal weather conditions.

Firefighters in Utah, Arizona and California are all battling wildfires, including the still-growing blaze that closed the Northern Rim of the Grand Canyon. In the Midwest and East, a thick haze in the sky caused by smoke from more than 700 Canadian wildfires have prompted air quality alerts in ten states.
