Teel made his major league debut on Friday night for the Chicago White Sox and his former teammate Marcelo Mayer had a nice message for him on Instagram.

The Chicago White Sox have called up another one of their top prospects, catcher Kyle Teel. To make room, they've sent down another young catcher to AAA Charlotte, Korey Lee. Teel will start behind the plate while batting sixth on Friday night in his Major League Baseball debut against the Kansas City Royals.

White Sox catching prospect Kyle Teel had his contract selected from Triple-A Charlotte before Friday's 7-2 comeback victory over the Royals at Rate Field. To make room on the roster, backstop Korey Lee was optioned to Charlotte.

Along with giving Boston an offensive spark, the move would give Kristian Campbell much needed defensive reps in Triple A.

Roman Anthony, ESPN's No. 1-rated prospect, smashed a 497-foot grand slam for Boston's Triple-A team Saturday night, the longest home run in affiliated baseball this season.

Mayer’s home run is the lone positive for Boston so far in this game. The Sox trail 8-1 in the sixth inning. The Yankees pounded starter Walker Buehler for seven runs (five earned), seven hits, two homers and two walks in the first two innings.
