Joel Embiid's knee injury could be a lot worse than imagined, as recent speculation suggested that he could miss the start of training camp.

During an interview with NBA reporter Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints, Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey said he’s “praying” for center Joel Embiid.  The 2023 MVP, Embiid underwent arthroscopic left knee surgery in April.

Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid had a miserable 2024-25 season as he limped his way through 19 games dealing with a bothersome left knee. He just clearly wasn't himself and his teammates certainly noticed throughout a miserable 24-58 season.
