A Seattle-based team that contributed to development on the popular online action game Marvel Rivals has reportedly been dismissed

Chinese game developer NetEase Games has laid off the entire Marvel Rivals development team in Seattle for organizational restructuring. Despite the game's success, the team was cut to optimize development.

Last night, Marvel Rivals developer NetEase Games laid off an unspecified number of staff from its Seattle design team. This included one of the game's directors, Thaddeus Sasser, who posted about the layoffs on his LinkedIn page. "My stellar, talented team just helped deliver an incredibly successful new franchise," he said.
