On the first day of Combs' sex trafficking trial, a witness, Daniel Phillip, said he was a professional stripper who was paid $700 to $6,000 to have sex with Cassie while Combs watched and gave instructions, with the first encounter in 2012.

The prosecution on Monday showed the jury security video of Combs beating and kicking Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016.

The criminal case against Sean “Diddy” Combs was sparked after a startling 2023 civil lawsuit from his former girlfriend in which she alleged years of abuse and violence.

In a separate development, the federal judge presiding over the case pushed the final stage of jury selection to early next week.
