In the next series, Rolder was trailing his man by a step or two, which put him in the perfect spot to intercept a pass that was thrown behind the intended receiver.

Michigan’s defense, a liability a week ago in a loss at USC, gave the Wolverines a second-half boost to help keep their playoff hopes alive.
