Armenian boxer Erik Israyelyan became World Youth Champion this weekend in Spain winning gold. The 17-year-old overcame in the men’s 60kg in the final against Georgia’s Gocha Gordulava. Israyelyan beat Englishman Nelson Birchall in the semi-finals with a score of 5:0. He couldn’t hide his emotions after he earned the gold medal, the International Boxing Association (IBA) reports.
