We were the only company out in Congaree National Park today and other than a few fisherman, had the creek to ourselves! Today we welcomed folks from North Carolina, Colorado and New York! About 10 mins into our paddle we spotted a Barred Owl 🦉 that caught a Squirrel 🐿️ and was flying away with it. We paddled down to Tupelo Basin and poked out heads in there and then headed back up. On the way back we had 2 River Otters 🦦 that came off a log and swam right underneath a couple of our kayaks be

We wrapped up 2025 in the best way possible, in Congaree National Park! A bunch of folks came out today and braved the cold temps for a year end paddle. There wasn't a lot of bird activity today but we did hear several Woodpeckers 🪶, Wrens, Chickadees and even a few Robins. The Great Blue Heron 🐦 is still hanging out looking for scraps from the Otters. Coming thru Dawson's Lake we had a Beaver 🦫 announce it's presence by slapping the water 3 times right next to us! Coming back up we had a Riv
