A Class 2 cyclone warning is in force in Rodrigues as Severe Tropical Storm DUDZAI continues to approach the island, posing a potential threat. According to the fifth cyclone bulletin issued at 04:10 a.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, the system was located around 300 kilometres east-northeast of Rodrigues at 04:00 a.m., near latitude 19.2 degrees south and longitude 66.2 degrees east. DUDZAI is moving in a south-westerly direction at approximately 15 km/h, steadily drawing closer to the island.
