Marvin Garcia Meda made history as the first Hispanic head J5 drum major for the Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South Marching Band. Growing up in Dallas, Meda was introduced to the sound of the Sonic Boom and the J5 style as a student at Skyline High School.
