“Andrew George Scott is, next to Ned Kelly, one of Australia's most famous bushrangers, known as Captain Moonlite. He was also, to a large extent, an accidental bushranger; driven to crime and the infamous shoot-out at Wantabagdery Station in 1879. Moonlite has become a legend and an icon in the LGBTQI community for his close and deeply personal relationship with James Nesbitt, his co-conspirator. When he was waiting execution, Scott wore a ring made from Nesbitt’s hair and pleaded with his gaol
