Here’s our version of Jamaican Johnny Cakes aka Fried Dumplings 👨🏾‍🍳 Johnny Cakes is a favorite in Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean. It is a side dish with is typically served with main breakfast meals like ackee & saltfish, callaloo, liver and/or red herring. INGREDIENTS : 4 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1.5 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1/2 cup cold water 1 cup vegetable oil for frying METHOD: Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together into a large mixing bowl.
